I thought that it would be interesting to run through a history of my work from art school to the present day. I am doing this by showing interesting commisions that I have undertaken most of them whilst running Creative Metalwork.

This metal fish tank sculpture contained sheet steel metal fish with bronze highlights that were the inspiration for the Metal Wall Art range that I make today.

I started Richard Pell Creative Metalwork in 1989 with a view to producing a range of exciting and unusual metalwork designs aimed at the craft and giftware market. My intention was to produce art based designs at an affordable price. From the begining I designed and made a range of metal products including Candle Holders, Clocks, Mirrors, Electric Lights, Furniture as well as the Metal Wall Art range that is still the backbone of my work today.

I would also take on spacial commissions that were often for commercial companies, I designed and made many metal interiors for cafe's, bars and shops including the first five Cafe Nero's and more unusual settings such several fittness centres one was at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane. Many others included Sun Mycrosystems and Gyro Graphics reception and boardroom areas.
